Camp Fuck It was unofficially established in 2015 by people with questionable judgement, excellent instincts, and an increasingly serious commitment to just fucking doing it anyway.
We are a camp of many characters: the wildly inventive, the deeply ridiculous, the charmingly unhinged, the fiercely kind, the beautifully weird, the chaos-adjacent, and the ones who somehow keep it all together just enough to make it work. We are a gathering of humans who believe that joy is a practice, silliness is a virtue, and boys are mostly crazy while girls, thankfully, keep them alive.
Over the years, our camp has grown from a spark into a flame, and from a flame into a full-blown situation. Last year marked the 10-year anniversary of Camp Fuck It and our biggest camp yet. This year, we are once again bigger than ever, which proves one of two things: either we have found our people, or we are only getting concerningly crazier with age. Possibly both.
We come to Burning Man with open hearts, questionable sleeping arrangements, and prepared for rain. We believe in participation over perfection, connection over status, and absurdity over boredom. We build together, laugh together, care for each other, and occassionally get stuck in monsoons together.
Camp Fuck It is a home for those who understand that the best moments are often the ones nobody could have planned. We do not promise order. We do not promise normal. We do promise a camp full of energy, generosity, mischief, and people who will absolutely help you find your goggles, your dignity, and your clothes (maybe).
So if you have found your way here, welcome. Bring your good ideas. Bring your bad ideas. Bring your good intentions, and your ability to laugh when things get dusty. And always remember...If you are feeling cranky, you probably just need a snack, some water, and a little nap.
We show up fully. We love loudly. We laugh hard. We dance often. And when in doubt, we say:
Fuck it.
